Everyone's nervous system is unique, and on NEUROFIT, this shows up in a visible way during check-ins. Nervous System Energy refers to where you check-in most often on the NEUROFIT Ring - High Energy, Grounded, or Balanced.
Grounded members check-in in the Stillness and Dorsal Vagal states more often.
To balance this, it's important to engage in daily social play and exercise. These practices will also improve creativity and focus.
These practices may feel uncomfortable at first, so honor when your nervous system feels fatigued and needs a break.
High energy members tend to report more Play and Sympathetic energy in their check-ins.
For High Energy members, it's critical to maintain a daily stillness practice. Stillness teaches the nervous system how to turn off, which improves sleep quality as well as overall recovery.
If any resistance is experienced to stillness, we recommend burning off excess energy via exercise or movement before doing so, as well as starting with shorter practices and building up over time.
Balanced members report an overall balance between high and low energy states. In this case, a simple daily embodiment practice is useful to further develop the mind-body connection and increase resilience.
After your second check-in, your nervous system energy type will be unlocked (see your Key Takeaways section in Insights).
Tomorrow, we’ll explore how 3 minutes of BALANCE training each morning can improve the entire rest of your day.
Your next steps for today? Complete the practice recommended for your Energy Type, and watch how the rest of your day unfolds.
